Charters Towers Regional Council Cemeteries
The Charters Towers Regional Council administers and maintains seven cemeteries within the Region. They are the Lynd Highway Cemetery and Pioneer Cemetery (Charters Towers), Mingela Cemetery, Ravenswood Cemetery, Pentland Cemetery, Sellheim Cemetery and Greenvale Cemetery.

Hinchinbrook Shire Council Cemeteries
The Hinchinbrook Shire Council administers and maintains three cemeteries within the shire. These being the New Ingham, Old Ingham and Halifax Cemetery. Generally, all new interments are conducted at the New Ingham and Halifax cemeteries. Above ground – vault interments – are permitted at the Old Ingham Cemetery provided a recent family connection can be shown.

Burial information at council cemeteries can be provided to help with genealogical and historical researching.
Council records date back to 1870. However records are not kept of ashes buried at crematoriums. Researchers would need to contact the relevant crematorium for information relating to these.
Maranoa Regional Council Cemeteries
Council is committed to providing effective and efficient services at our cemeteries throughout the region. Currently Council administers 16 cemeteries within its boundaries.

Mount Thompson Memorial Gardens Crematorium
Mt Thompson Memorial Gardens opened in 1934 and was Queensland's first crematorium. Mt Thompson provides a sanctuary where reflections and thoughts can flourish and resonate in a tranquil, inviting environment. It is a place of natural, landscaped beauty maintained by dedicated staff, a place where peace and privacy are cherished and respected.
To enhance and add to the service that we provide to our families, we have partnered with Heaven Address Resting Place to make available an online photographic record of the memorials and their approximate location within the gardens. The task of recording the large number of memorials at Mt Thompson is ongoing and to-date more than 95,000 memorials have been photographed and their locations mapped.

Redland City Council Cemeteries
There are two mainland council cemeteries in the Redlands. These are located at Cleveland and Redland Bay. North Stradbroke Island (Minjerribah) has three historical cemeteries in Dunwich, echoing the different historic periods of the island. The Dunwich Cemetery is the only remaining cemetery in use as the Myora Aboriginal Cemetery and the Lepers Cemetery are no longer used
Rockhamtpon Regional Cemeteries
Rockhampton Regional Council manages six cemeteries within the region. Five are currently open to new interments and two are heritage listed. If you require information relating to private cemeteries, lone graves, or Trust administered cemeteries within our region, such as Stanwell, Westwood, or Alton Downs, please contact the cemeteries office.

Winton Shire Cemetery Register
The Winton Historic Cemetery was established in around 1876, with records starting around the 17th June 1881. There are in excess of 150 burials in unmarked graves. In 1929, a special area was allocated for the interment of ex-servicemen and women, with the first burial taking place on June 7th, 1929.

(CQFHA), was formed on the 21 May 1986 as the Central Queensland Genealogical Association, in Rockhampton Queensland Australia, as a non-political, non-sectarian, non-profit making association to accommodate the growing demand for genealogical records for family history research throughout the Central Queensland area. Early Photographers of Maryborough
Maryborough was an important Queensland port and the destination for many English and German emigrant ships during the 1860s and 1870s. The town serviced a large pastoral and mining district in the 19th century. A large number of photographers worked in Maryborough during the 19th century with approximately 25 practitioners of the art having established studios at various times.
Early Photographers of RomaThe first established studio in Roma was set up by Richard Cottell in 1869 who continued in business for 11 years along with terms as mayor of Roma. The next major studio operation was that run by E. B. Cardell from South Australia who was also the town's chemist. A number of visiting photographers worked in the town but there wasn't sufficient work for many operators.
